Not posed. Not performed. Not the version that was someone else on Pinterest — the version that is actually happening: the beauty of you. The ordinary Saturday morning that you will one day look back on and realize was everything.

Motherhood is the accumulation of a thousand small moments — the weight of a sleeping child, the chaos of a kitchen table, the pride that catches you off guard before you have time to compose yourself. These are the images worth making.

Each session takes place in one location, unhurried, with the camera close. We’re interested in connection — the stage you’re in right now, the closeness, the particular texture of this relationship at this exact moment. Quietly, without direction, with a couple of cameras and maybe some Super 8, because it’s just so fun.

No stage of motherhood lasts forever — which is, depending on the day, both a relief and a heartbreak. This is an invitation to be seen in this chapter of your life — not for anyone else, just for you.

A note from us

We’re Catie & Kate.
And we’re back together.

A pandemic. Moves to different states. A new cat, a new dog, two kids, and three houses between us.

We shot together for years before life pulled us in different directions. What we kept coming back to, after all that time apart, was the joy of this work — the shorthand, the sizzle of it, the way we each see differently and make something that feels completely unique to you. Getting the band back together for this project felt like the most natural thing in the world. We are so excited.
